The Farming and Forestry Improvement Scheme (FFIS)
The Farming and Forestry Improvement Scheme (FFIS) will re-open for the second round of applications in April/May this year. The scheme provides capital grants of between £2,500 - £25,000 (based on a maximum of 40% of the item cost) to encourage more efficient use of resources in farming and forestry operations. There is a vast array of over 50 items which are covered by the scheme, including slurry separators, GPS equipment, rainwater harvesting equipment, weigh crates, EID readers, resurfacing parlour floors, cluster flushing systems and electricity efficiency devices.
